I bought a new 02 Savage last May, and had to change the front brake pads after only 1000 miles on them. The manager thought the sqealing was in my head. I think the front brakes were a pore design, coming from a machinist. When I ride for now on I try to use more of the rear break, or down shift like a car when I see whats ahead.
I had some modifications done on my bike. Had a Jardine slip-on put on and got ride of that stock pipe and had the jets changed. What a differance.
